YANKEE SUPER 9s ACADEMY
2011-2012 (Fall/Winter/Spring Program)
The YANKEE UNITED F.C. SUPER 9s ACADEMY is designed for U9 players (*born between 8/1/02 - 7/31/03) who are looking for outstanding supplementary training while staying with their existing travel teams. This program in no way interferes with existing travel programs.
The SUPER 9s program will accept 24 players and will train once per week (10 SESSIONS A SEASON) during the fall/winter/spring seasons. Players in the program will be eligible to participate in at least one competitive tournament, as well as, some friendly games each season– not conflicting with existing team commitments. The SUPER 9s will also have the option of participating in a competitive Futsal League (5 v 5) in the winter season.
We believe that in the vast majority of cases, U9 players are best served by receiving excellent training through their local town travel programs, and learning the basics of the game with their friends with an emphasis on fun. For able players ready for something more, this program provides a constructive learning environment, along with the highest quality of training, and other talented players from around the state to work with and against.
The SUPER 9s challenging training sessions will be a key ingredient to the personal development of each player. Fun activities are designed to maximize comfort with the ball and vision of the field. Each training activity will help players improve technically (skills), tactically (decision making), physically (speed/agility/coordination), and psychologically (mental toughness).
WE ARE CURRENTLY ACCEPTING PLAYERS FOR THE SUPER 9s PROGRAM FOR THE 2011-2012 SEASON.
If your daughter is interested in participating in the SUPER 9s please contact Matt Mones at
