Yankee United F.C.

Yankee United F.C. is one of Connecticut’s oldest and most successful premier soccer clubs for young women. Over its history, YUFC teams have won 45 Connecticut State Championships, four Regional Championships and a National Championship. This tradition of excellence has resulted in YUFC teams producing 14 All-Americans, 36 All New England, and 190 players that have earned All-State Honors. Yankee players have been selected at the U-14, U-16, U-18, U-20, U-23 US National Team Player Pool, as well as, at the full US Women’s National Team level. Currently three former Yankee United F.C. Alumni are playing in the newly formed National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). Yankee United F.C. is singularly dedicated to the development and placement of our young female players into collegiate programs that match their aspirations and abilities.

2013 CJSA Fall Premier League Champions - GU11 Red Divison

Yankee United F.C. U11 Reign - 2013 U11 Fall Premier League Champions

Congratulations to the U11 Yankee United Reign on winning the 2013 CJSA Fall Premier League - U11 Red Division. The Yankee U11 Reign finished with an overall 5-0-1 record in league play and finished 1st out of 7 teams. The U11 Reign are currently unbeaten in all competitions thus far and will complete their fall season at the 2013 MAPS Fall Challenge this upcoming weekend. What a tremendous achievement girls, great job!

Goalkeeper Megan Fitzgerald a freshman at Fordham University posted a shutout in the 2nd half against St John's where she tied a school record for most saves in a game. Megan then got her first collegiate start between the pipes for the Rams this past Sunday in a 3-0 L to Rutgers. Megan joins two other Yankee teammates at Fordham, Ally Doyle & Turner Block who also have seen action as Freshman during the first three games of the season. All three players were members of the Yankee United Ladies WPSL team this past summer.

FC Stars Cup 2013

GIRLS U13 CHAMPIONS - YANKEE UNITED F.C. FLASH NPL-00

Congratulations to the U13 Yankee United Flash on winning the FC Stars Cup GU13 Championship Division this past weekend in Massachusetts. Facing tough competition from other top teams in Region the Yankee Flash went 3-0-1 overall and did not concede a goal all tournament. In the group stage the Flash defeated Breakers NPL (MA) 1-0, World Class NPL (NY) 1-0 and played to a scoreless tie with Stronghold (NJ). The Flash defeated Oakwood Soccer Club 1-0 late on Sunday in the final. Fantastic start to the new season girls!

Yankee Ladies sign Amelia Pereira to WPSL team

The Yankee Ladies WPSL is proud to announce the signing of a Amelia Pereira, a 2013 NSCAA Continental Tire All-American and America East Striker of the Year, who closed out her senior season at Hartford leading the America East Conference in goals scored (13) and points (33), while adding seven assists. Born in Madeira Island, Portugal Amelia has also plays for the Portuguese Women's National Team.

Her 13 goals and 33 points are career-highs for the striker, while her seven assists tied a career-best from her junior season. She also finished with six game-winning goals which is the seventh most in the nation. For her career, Pereira scored 25 goals and collected 69 points (19 assists) which are both ninth best in Hartford women's soccer history.
